Today, we ask 05 important questions to know more about Ayrton Senna.
“Racing, competing, it’s in my blood. It’s part of me, it’s part of my life; I have been doing it all my life and it stands out above everything else.”
Is it true what they say about your victory in the 1991 Brazilian GP?
It’s true that my car’s gear was stuck in sixth – something malfunctioned. I was so exhausted after that win.
Even before your race in 1994, you had your qualms about Imola’s Tamburello corner?
Yes, I had gone there a few years before and asked them to change something. That turn was just too dangerous.
Why did you have an Austrian flag in you car that day in ’94?
I generally waved the Brazilian flag after winning a race. That day however, I would wave the Austrian flag to mourn the death of Roland Ratzenberger who died in a crash just the day before.
Did you also play chess?
Yes, and I could beat you at it too!
